Wine Collector acquired by Nickolls & Perks

We are thrilled to announce the sale of the Wine Collector by Wine Owners, to Nickolls & Perks, one of the UK’s long established and respected fine wine & spirit merchants.

Wine Collector is a collection management platform with integrated trading exchange that was first released in 2013 and used by thousands of collectors and enthusiasts to manage their wines and self-direct in the secondary market. In the past few years Wine Owners has evolved into an industry-specific provider of cutting-edge software as a service (SaaS) platforms used by many of the world’s finest wine merchants, traders, retailers, importers and storage providers.

With the focus on business management software that drives operational efficiency gains, customer success and multichannel sales, Wine Owners’ leadership realised that the requirements of collectors and enthusiasts would be best served under the stewardship of a business whose primary focus was closely aligned with their needs. Nickolls & Perks are the perfect acquirer, being a progressive wine and spirits businesses with a track record of investing in new technology (also provided by Wine Owners) to meet the evolving needs of their customers. Yet Nickolls & Perks is also the longest established provincial wine merchant in the UK, founded in 1797, with the last four generations represented by the Gardener family.

The Gardeners appreciate the DNA of the business they are buying and the needs of its subscribers. To that end users will experience a refreshed look and feel and service delivery that will meet the level expected by fine wine collectors. The switch to Nickolls & Perks will take place on April 9th.
