Tasted blind at Farr Vintner's Left Bank tasting. This does not have a complex bouquet, but the definition is fine, scents of raspberry leaf, plum and cranberry sauce. The palate is medium-bodied with fine definition, brisk black fruit, good acidity, fanning out nicely towards the finish with cedar, blackberry wine gums and a touch of spice. Good persistency. This is an impressive 2003 Margaux. Tasted October 2010.
