The Beaucastel '89 has a wonderful nose of bacon fat, dusty black fruits and a hint of menthol. Great definition. The palate is both vibrant and well-defined with more garrigues elements than previous bottles although it is still endowed with that sensuous, silky finish. A seductive, harmonious and almost effortless Chateauneuf-du-Pape that I think is a point. Drink now-2020. Tasted June 2008.
