Robert Parker
Tasted: 29/08/2013
Drink: 2013 - 2021

The 2010 Petit Verdot comes in at 14.5% and was aged in new French oak for one year. Juicy on the finish, but graceful in the mid-palate, this has nice structure, the fruit supported by moderate tannins, plus a solid, easygoing feel. Not particularly concentrated, it shows well- balanced tension on the finish, a little earthiness and crispness with aeration, making it probably my favorite Petit Verdot yet from Dona Maria. Drink now-2021. Although some of the vintage dates look old, this winery often releases late, so note that these are the current submissions.
